Concept of Oelkers business
The Oelkers business is a long established traditional company that has been based for more than three generations on Christian values. For these reasons, we believe in giving our guests sincere service from the heart, everyone should feel secure and comfortable in our house.
Our motto is:
“Being at home is a feeling.”
The following five values illustrate the core of what we consider to be fundamental, rewarding and meaningful:
1. Human respect
2. Loyal quality
3. Responsibility
4. Leadership quality
5. Courage to be open
These values are our guide in all business decisions and the basis of our motivation. They are expressed in our behaviour towards one another and to others. We know that as a business we don’t have our values to have success. We rather believe to be successful because of our values. It is important for us, to uphold these values through our words, thoughts and deeds.
1. Human respect
We recognise every person in their uniqueness and show appreciation, respect and gratitude. We are guided by the golden rule:
“Treat everyone the way you want to be treated!”
2. Loyal quality
Through our quality management we increase the satisfaction of our guests and employees and optimise the efficiency of relationships with business partners. It is our hearts desire to serve and surprise our guests with a balance between tradition and innovation. We follow the principle:
“Preserve the good – allow the new!”
3. Responsibility
We are all responsible for our own actions - we vouch for what we do! With care and consistency, we work economically, quality-conscious and sustainable for man and the environment. The following applies:
“If everyone carries out his or her duties no one needs to fight for their rights!” (Hermann Knoblauch)
4. Leadership quality
The quality of leadership is only visible through leading by example. It is our duty to support our employee’s abilities in their professional and social skills with joy, compassion and expertise. We provide individual support and motivation to guide employees to make independent decisions and actions. We are aware that:
“Words are silver - deeds are gold” (Marion Pusch)!
5. Courage to be open
We encourage open and direct communication with each other and give solution oriented feedback. This will only succeed if we view our errors as an opportunity to better ourselves. We communicate respectfully and honest with each other, because:
"Truth creates clarity!"
Our mission statement is binding for the owners, the management and all other employees of the Oelkers company. Of course, it also applies to our business partners.
