Innovation from tradition
For 50 years it has been our aspiration to enrich our guest's enjoyment of life throughout their holidays. Grandma Oelkers laid the foundation stone with her passionate hospitality to serve guests from the heart, which she passed to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Anne Marie and Wolfgang Oelkers opened the Harz Hotel Romantischer Winkel in 1978, with the intention to serve the desires of our guests needs. This gift they handed over to us in 2001 together with the hotel.
Out of this endeavour we created together with internationally experienced professionals the brand RoLigio®, which was developed as an approach to wellness and joy in life. RoLigio® is an abbreviation of Romantischer Winkel (RoWi) and religare (Latin) which means to “connect with”. Return to the delight of nature, culture and adventure, back to relationships and a little tomfoolery, with time and space for forgotten dreams, old wishes and new passion.
